But seriously. My reinstall (the third now!) of Ubuntu 7.10 with most of the Futurelooks pack being used, along with liberal Compiz effects, and a few other bits of eye candy. I figure, with 1G of ram and 2.2G of swap, I might as well make the thing look nice...

Each time I reinstall I end up finding new things, and by now I've become pretty familiar with things. Really liking this OS... well, not just for the eye candy, but the package manager is great, too.
Well, it was sort of like a learning thing. The first time, I was upgrading from an earlier version and it wasn't stable because it was just released, the second time was a few months later when it had stabilized, and the third time was just last week after I found the newest version all crappy and unstable.
So yeah, I have a habit of dipping my feet and not liking it, then coming back and adopting it. I'm gonna stick with 7.10 for a few more months, I think.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
